A few fragments of something found
Treasure Hill Artist Village, Taipei (Taiwan), 2024

Site-specific installation of sculpture and moving image recorded from sites across Treasure Hill Artist Village, presented with an audio work recorded from the bed of the Xindian River, which flows through the base of the village. The work was exhibited in The Shelter gallery, located in the former subterranean bunker, at Treasure Hill Artist Village. The exhibition explored the multi-layered architectural history of Treasure Hill, from its founding as a military observation post, to its subsequent repurposing by local communities as domestic spaces, and to its later development as the Artist Village.

The installation remained in motion throughout the exhibition as the unfired clay moulds' appearance changed during the air-drying process and gradually disintegrated under the feet of the exhibition visitors.

Following the show, the clay pieces exhibited were given to local artists to reconstitute and use to create new art objects in multiple forms.
