Recording The Tetley
The former Tetley art gallery, Leeds (UK), 2023-2024
A series of site-responsive multimedia recording performances undertaken at The Tetley art gallery in Leeds, located in the Art Deco former Tetley's Brewery HQ, after the gallery announced its closure following the building’s purchase by international developers.
The work serves as an expanded archive, documenting an important lost site for artists in the city due to increased economic pressures and the forces of gentrification in post-industrial areas.
Extracts from the work were exhibited as part of A few fragments of something lost (2024), in the East Street Arts Project Space, Leeds.
